Uba Sani Foundation Sponsors Surgery for Tanker Explosion victim

The Uba Sani Foundation has come to the rescue of Labaran Abubakar, 19 year old victim of fuel tanker explosion who escaped death by the whiskers.

Labaran was accompanying one Musa Abdu (not real name), a tanker driver who loaded his tank with fuel for delivery to Kaduna but the tanker skidded off along Abuja-Kaduna Road   and caught fire.  The duo were admitted at Suleja General Hospital where Musa died the next day.

Labaran was transferred to Barau Dikko Hospital Kaduna where he was receiving medical attention.

As his case became complicated, lastcweek Labaran was transferred to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika- Zaria where he was to undergo surgery on his hand due to high degree burns that affected his nerves.

It was at this point that the Uba Sani Foundation learnt about Labaran’s predicament as his guardian, Malam Muhammad Abubakar had exhausted all means to make Labaran’s treatment and surgery possible.

The Chairman of the Foundation, distinguished Senator Uba Sani came to his rescue by approving funds to cover the expenses.

Labaran Abubakar and his uncle Muhammad Abubakar were full of praises for Senator Uba Sani whose foundation has made saving lives as one of its primary focus.  It will be recalled that last year the Uba Sani Foundation has spent over 5 million Naira on various medical outreach activities, which include offsetting the bills of patients needing surgeries, free medical tests for diabetes, sickle cell, malaria and hepatitis B, distribution of pregnancy kits to women from poor households.
