ED PRESENTING CASH DONATION TO FATHER OF CANCER PATIENT

In keeping with its mission of saving the lives of underprivileged persons, the Uba Sani Foundation yesterday donated one hundred and sixty thousand (160,000) Naira to one Muhammad Musa of Unguwan Shanu, Kaduna.

Master Muhammad, 19, is battling with cancer of the heart as diagnosed by specialists at Barau Dikko Hospital Kaduna after rigorous laboratory investigations.

His parents who had exhausted all their earnings to get him treated  were literally living on the goodwill of sympathizers when the management of Uba Sani Foundation learnt of Muhammad’s case through a third party.

In his characteristic manner of putting smile on the faces of those in dire straits, the Chairman of the Foundation, Senator Uba Sani gave expeditious approval for the sum of One Hundred and Sixty Thousand (160,000) Naira to cover the cost of six rounds of chemotherapy and treatment drugs for the patient.

When a delegation led by the Executive Director of the Foundation, Malam Ibrahim Dan Halilu visited the patient yesterday (Friday, December 10, 2021), Mohammed Farhan had just received a third round of his chemotherapy, hence could not speak louder enough but had acknowledged the donation made to save his life.

He gesticulated a “thank you” remark, expressing gratitude to the Foundation’s Chairman and management for the timely intervention.

Presenting the donation to Muhammad’s father, Malam Musa Abubakar during the visit, Malam Dan Halilu said one of the cardinal objectives of the Uba Sani Foundation is to save the lives of people suffering from various ailments who have no access to good health care or cannot pay for their treatment.

He expressed hope that the donation will go a long way in providing succour to Muhammad Musa, and relieving his parents of the burden of footing his medical bills.

The patients father, Malam Musa Abubakar who was filled with joy, expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Uba Sani Foundation, Distinguished Senator, Malam Uba Sani for showing generosity towards his son.

“The donation by Uba Sani Foundation has given me hope that my son will recover fast and begin normal life. In short, I feel as if he has recovered fully,” said the elated father.

He commended the Foundation for wiping the tears of hundreds of underprivileged people through its humanitarian service, and pray Allah to bless the Foundation and its staff for their service to humanity.

A couple of weeks earlier, the Uba Sani Foundation has made a similar donation to a victim of petrol tanker explosion who sustained a third degree burns and is currently recuperating at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika.
